MyVirtual.Lawyer has been selected to receive the James I. Keane Memorial Award for Excellence in eLawyering. The award will be presented virtually at the Start-Up Pitch Competition during ABA TECHSHOW.
MyVirtual.Lawyer is a law firm, brand model offering limited scope representation, flat fees/subscription-based products, and that exclusively uses cloud-based technology from start to finish of a case including, but not limited to communicating with and deliver services to their clients. MVL was created as a law firm model in Central Arkansas by founder, Brooke Moore, who worked closely with the Arkansas Access to Justice Commission to explore law firm models that would allow the average consumer access to a legal professional and assistance with navigation of the legal system in a more approachable, convenient, and affordable way. She also needed a career that reflected her ideals on protecting her health and spending time with family therefore coming up with the LSR, Virtual Law model. Laura O’Bryan joined Brooke as her partner in 2017, and due to increasing national presence and demand of attorneys wanting to learn about this unique platform of delivery, Brooke and Laura co-founded the MyVirtual.Lawyer Brand LLC in 2018 that allows them to offer services to other attorneys in the form of courses, coaching, and a membership (licensee) to expand the footprint of consumer access and attorney health and well-being across the U.S. and internationally.

“The MVL Brand is dedicated to offering and championing access to justice for the average legal consumer and spreading the lifestyle law firm model to attorneys to balance lifestyle with meaningful and lucrative practice. Many lawyers who have started to embrace the idea of “virtual lawyering” before and during the COVID-19 pandemic largely work remotely still delivering many of their services in a traditional manner. There is a need for attorneys and consumers to use technology in their practice of law to be more accessible for consumers, but also happier and healthier in their own lives. We do not suggest discounting the services provided and maintaining the same workload and liability. Instead, we use technology and limited scope to encourage a manageable workload of your own making, and still maintain a career in the legal profession without burning out. Our target market for legal consumers is middle to lower economic class and, for the attorney business, to female attorneys as they disproportionately leave the profession for family obligations. This model is designed to fill the gap between DIY and paid form driven vendors and traditional representation as not everyone needs or wants the traditional experience.”
