The ginger feline, Master Poe Poe, pulls off a doe-eyed look just like the one used by the sword-wielding animated Puss in Boots to trick his enemies.

Owner Deborah De Asis says her canny eight-month-old cat gazes at her when he wants a treat.

Deborah, 39, a technical support officer from the Netherlands, said: “He definitely is the real-life Puss in Boots — he just needs the hat.

“He even does the same pose with his paws so it works on me every time.”

She added: “I was so surprised when he first started looking at me like that with the big eyes so I had to get it on video.
