Adobe Acrobat is an extremely powerful program with tons of features most users don’t know about. This book introduces users to the common and not-so-common features, with step-by-step instructions and hundreds of screenshots, making it easy to learn how to use the software.

Who is your book written for? Who would get the most out of reading your book?

All users of Adobe Acrobat will benefit from the book. It covers everything from the most basic features of the software to some of the lesser-known features that make Acrobat an indispensable application for every office.

What inspired you to write this book?

We are geeks who love the product and enjoy sharing our knowledge with others.

What experience, knowledge, or special training helped you to write this book?

This book is the result of our hands-on use of the product in a real office. We understand how offices work and our goal is to convey that information to other users.

What problem faced by lawyers does The Ultimate Guide to Adobe Acrobat DC solve/address?

Lawyers must use PDFs every day. They are essential to every office, especially those seeking to become paperless. But more importantly, the book focuses on features that users may not know about, including security options that allow lawyers to use Acrobat when dealing with confidential and sensitive information.

How is this book different than other books written on this topic and/or what is new or different in this edition of the book?

First, there are no other comparable books on the market. Second, our book covers the features of Acrobat for both Windows and Mac users, which is rare for any tech book. Finally, the second edition is a complete revision of the first, with all new screenshots, up-to-date instructions, and other information helpful for every Acrobat user.

What was your biggest challenge in writing this book?

Writing during a pandemic would seem to be easy, after all, everyone’s at home. At times though, it was hard to focus and write. After that, our toughest challenge remains getting the word out that our book is available and isn’t just for lawyers, it’s for all users of Acrobat.

What do you think will surprise readers most about your book?

How many things Acrobat can do. And how easy it is to do them.

What is the most important takeaway readers will get from The Ultimate Guide to Adobe Acrobat DC?

Acrobat is so much more than a PDF maker. It can be a presentation product, a security product, and more. All it takes is a bit of a deeper dive to see all the benefits the product provides.

What advice would you give to others who want to write a book for the Law Practice Division?

Be patient. Writing a book is a challenge, but working with LP means you are working with people who understand why and what you want to write. That being said, the process takes time. In the end, you’ll be glad you chose to work with LP.
